"My short time visiting Jordan was filled with an abundance of hospitality, music, food, and site seeing. I was overwhelmed with the generosity from people I would just meet trying to feed me and make sure I am comfortable. Although at the time I had only taken Elementary Arabic at FSU, I was able to pick up more than I thought just through listening to conversations and reading signs. I cannot wait to visit the Middle East again and would do so in a heartbeat."

"Lebanon is a country that once lived in my imagination, and my MES degree made it possible for me to travel there. My friend, Eliane Aoun, made sure I saw the beautiful oceans and mountains of Lebanon, what a place of absolute majesty. Strangers became friends very quickly and I felt like I had returned home, even though it was my first time visiting!"

"I met several great friends from Kuwait through the Center for Intensive English Studies at FSU in 2012. In December 2013, I was fortunate enough to go out to Kuwait for a week to see them, their families, and what life is like in Kuwait. It was an unforgettable trip."

"Morocco is one of the most incredible places I've ever seen. From the stunning landscapes (ranging from beaches to forests to deserts) to the generous people, every day was an adventure. I've never been more out of my comfort zone but spending the summer in Morocco has been the most rewarding and incredible experience of my life thus far."

"I traveled to Jordan through a volunteer work program based out of Wadi Rum for one summer. I befriended several of my fellow volunteers from Denmark, Germany, Syria and Jordan and we had the opportunity to travel around Jordan in our free time. My Jordanian friend, Fayez, decided to act as tour guide for us through Amman, Jordan's Capital, Wadi Mousa, the city surrounding Petra, the historic city of Petra itself, as well as the Red Sea. There is truly nothing like stargazing in Wadi Rum and hiking through the vastness of Petra, I recommend it to anyone looking to be awed by Jordan."

"Shortly after graduation, I spent a month traveling around Turkey. Visiting the historical sites I had studied for years made the completion of my undergraduate career much more special."
