Undergraduate Advising

The Modern Languages & Linguistics Undergraduate Advising Office located in 364 Diffenbaugh (DIF) assists students in a variety of ways. Current students will find it useful to consult with the undergraduate advisor for questions regarding their major, minor, foreign language requirement, career opportunities, dropping courses, taking classes S/U (pass/fail), graduation checks and other academic issues. It is recommended that all students meet with their advisor at least once each semester to ensure they are sufficiently completing graduation requirements.

Prospective students interested in a major or minor in our department or anyone with questions about foreign language requirements for admission and/or graduation should also contact the undergraduate advisor. Modern Languages & Linguistics also has several helpful faculty advisors that assist students with choosing courses, planning for graduate school & careers after FSU, and other specific questions about language majors and minors.
